Earth is at war with an alien race called the "Covenant". In the beginning the Covenant board your ship, "The Pillar of Autumn", and cause it to crash-land on the ring world, Halo. You and fellow marines race against the Covenant to use the Halo as a weapon against each other. But a dark secret emerges. The Covenant are scared. Your fellow Marines are dying. It is all on your shoulders now. You are the only hope for Earth. Save us.

Mmm... shotgun. This game actually has a shotgun that works! Miracle of miracles! It works as well as the shotgun from Doom. Anybody remember that game? Grin Well, almost. Speaking of Doom, anybody notice that the Master Chief looks like the Doom guy? Hmm... Happy Dead

Anyway, me and Woodstock played the co-op mode and beat it in probably five or six hours. It was awesome. The Flood were hard, but once we got shotguns, we had noooo problems. Grin The shotgun really makes shredding Flood fun! So, throw away that assault rifle and grab a SHOTGUN! Okay, did I make that clear enough?

This isn't a review, is it? Oh, well. Insane Laugh

I have a friend that works at Microsoft, and can get Xbox games at a reduced price. He showed me a list of games that he could get, and I saw Halo there. I wasn't real sure at first if I wanted it, from what Linus had told me about it, but that "Game of the Year" sticker changed my mind. I ordered it. It arrived four days later, me and a friend beat it in two days.

It is a very good game, with a variety of weapons ranging from a pistol to a sniper rifle to a rocket launcher. There are also a number of vehicles that can be used. The controls are easy to master. I can see this game still being popular in years to come, like Unreal Tournament. I definitely recommend this game to any gamer.
