On the planet Sera, after years of back-and-forth wars for control over the wonder-fuel "Imulsion," an enemy from below, the Locust Horde, brings humanity's survivors together to battle for their future. You are Marcus Fenix, and your 40-year prison sentence was cut 36 years short as humanity scrounges for every fighter it can find. Your best friend, Dominic Santiago, releases you from the now-Locust-controlled prison and brings you into the fray. You and Delta Squad must locate Alpha Squad to recover the resonator to map the Locust Horde's underground tunnels so as to program a bomb to be used to wipe out the Locust for good. Gears of War wins all of the internets. It is made of win. Just... just play it. There are only two thing about this game that are not utter perfection; how short it is, and a certain cinematic in which the Gears are in a gunfight and you don't get to control it. However, the shooting takes place while Sarge (I don't care what his rank actually is; I call him Sarge.) is explaining, basically, the entire goal of the game, so it's excusable. I have yet to play online, but I did duke it out with Woodstock in a 1-on-1 game of execution. That was kickawesome, so I can imagine how great it is with more players. I don't actually have a 360 yet, but I'm buying one for this game. I suggest you do the same. |
